Section 1
The Service
Devolyn Guard is a verification service. It analyses changes proposed to your code repositories (for example pull requests written by people or AI agents) and reports a verdict: allowed, needs review, or blocked. The hosted Service runs on Devolyn’s infrastructure and connects to GitHub through the Devolyn Guard GitHub App.
Section 2
Accounts
You must give accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account and for everyone you invite to your organisation.
Section 3
Early access
The Service is currently offered free of charge, as early access. Features, limits and availability may change. Current limits include a maximum repository size of 5,000 files / 100 MB; larger repositories are shown as “not protected” and are not verified. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before introducing paid plans, and paid terms will apply only once you accept them.
Section 4
Your code and data
- You keep all rights to your code and content.
- You grant Devolyn a limited licence to access, store and process your repository content only to provide the Service: running verifications, showing results, and keeping audit records as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Devolyn never executes your code, never writes to your code, and does not use your code to train AI models.
- You confirm you have the right to connect the repositories you connect.
Section 5
What Devolyn Guard is, and is not
Devolyn Guard is a tool that helps you catch unsafe changes. It does not guarantee that every defect, vulnerability or unsafe change will be detected, and an “allowed” verdict is not a certification that a change is safe. You remain responsible for reviewing, testing and deploying your code.
Merges are only blocked if you enable branch protection with the Devolyn Guard check marked as required. The Service shows whether that protection is on, but it cannot and does not change your repository settings.
Section 6
Acceptable use
Do not: use the Service to attack, overload or probe it or anyone else; connect content you have no right to; try to access another customer’s data; reverse-engineer the hosted Service beyond what the law allows; or resell it without permission. We may suspend accounts that do.
Section 7
Availability and changes
We aim for a reliable Service but do not promise uninterrupted availability during early access. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the hosted Service, we will give at least 30 days’ notice where reasonably possible.
Section 8
Termination
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Data deletion follows the Privacy Policy, including the audit-record exception.
Section 9
Disclaimers and liability
During early access the Service is provided free and “as is”, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Devolyn is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for losses arising from code you merged or deployed. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and INR 10,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Section 10
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gautam Buddh Nagar (Greater Noida), Uttar Pradesh, have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any consumer-protection rights you have where you live that cannot be waived.
Section 11
Changes
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify account holders by email in advance. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
